Guided Tours in Copenhagen
As part of the conference experience, you can choose to join one of three guided tours showcasing different aspects of Copenhagen. Participation is entirely optional, and the tours are included in the conference fee. You can select your preferred tour when completing your conference registration.
Please note that transportation to and from the guided tours is not included, but you will receive guidance on the best transport options.
About Amager Fælled
On Amager, a unique landscape weaves itself into the urban fabric, creating a vibrant meeting point for nature experiences, outdoor adventure, play, and quiet immersion. In a walking tour around the center of Copenhagen, we’ll pass through some of its most iconic areas. Here, old merchant houses stand alongside modern architecture, showing how Copenhagen constantly balances tradition and innovation.
Along the way, you’ll experience the city’s relaxed, friendly spirit. Copenhagen is famous for its cycling culture, its focus on sustainability, and its vibrant food scene — from street food markets to world‑class restaurants. But it’s also a city of small details: cosy cafés, hidden courtyards, and quiet side streets where everyday life unfolds.

The Danish Architecture Center (DAC) is the perfect starting point for discovering why Copenhagen enjoys worldwide recognition as one of the most livable cities with magnificent architecture.
DAC is the meeting place for architecture, design and urban culture in Denmark, offering a wide range of professional and cultural activities.
At DAC, you can enjoy exhibitions about famous architects and engineers, explore the DAC Design Shop with its selection of lifestyle products from leading and upcoming brands, or visit DAC Café.

About SMK
The National Gallery of Denmark (SMK) is the country’s largest art museum, showcasing more than seven centuries of Danish and European art. Located next to the peaceful Østre Anlæg park, the museum combines its grand 19th‑century architecture with a bright, modern extension, creating an inspiring setting for art lovers.
Inside, visitors can explore everything from Renaissance masterpieces to iconic works of the Danish Golden Age, as well as modern art by Hammershøi, Eckersberg, and contemporary international artists. SMK is also a vibrant cultural space, offering temporary exhibitions, workshops, talks, and a popular café with views of the park.
Whether you’re interested in classic masterpieces or modern creativity, SMK offers a rich, welcoming, and thought‑provoking art experience in the heart of Copenhagen.

About the Glyptotek
The Glyptotek is a vibrant and beautifully designed art museum in the heart of Copenhagen, home to more than 10,000 works spanning 6,000 years of history.
Built around a lush Winter Garden crowned by a striking glass dome, the museum offers a uniquely serene and aesthetically rich atmosphere.
Visitors can explore world‑class collections of ancient Mediterranean cultures and modern art, including masterpieces by Degas, Gauguin, and other leading artists.
With temporary exhibitions, over 100 annual events, and an architectural setting that feels both elegant and inspiring, the Glyptotek is a place where art, history, and beauty come together.

About Canal Tours
The tour starts at Holmens Church and passes the historic Stock Exchange before sailing through the canal Børsgraven to Nyhavn, the picturesque 17th-century harbour lined with colourful houses and old sailing ships. At the end of Nyhavn stands a memorial anchor dedicated to 1,600 Danish sailors who lost their lives during World War II.
The tour then passes through Holmen, Copenhagen’s former naval base for more than 300 years, spread across four islands. Today, the area hosts several cultural and educational institutions, including the Danish Film School and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Architecture. Along the way you will see historic bastions, the old Mast Crane from 1748, and Battery Sixtus.
The tour continues past Amalienborg Palace, the royal residence, and on to the Little Mermaid, inspired by the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. The tour then sails through the charming Christianshavn Canal, passing Our Saviour’s Church with its famous spiral tower.
On the return journey, the route passes the Royal Library, the National Museum, Thorvaldsen’s Museum, and Christiansborg Palace, home of the Danish Parliament, before returning to Holmens Church.

National Museum of Denmark
About the National Museum
The National Museum of Denmark is the country’s largest cultural history museum, located in the heart of Copenhagen.
Spanning more than 9,000 years of history, the museum brings Denmark’s past to life through iconic treasures such as the Sun Chariot, the Egtved Girl, and the Gundestrup Cauldron, alongside immersive exhibitions on Vikings, ancient cultures, and everyday life through the ages.
