Travelling

Find essential information about accommodation and travelling to and within Copenhagen.

For public transportation, we recommend using the Danish Journey Planner. You can access it here

Flight

If you fly to Copenhagen, you will arrive at Copenhagen Airport (Kastrup Airport).
From the airport, you can take either:

  • InterCity trains to Copenhagen Central Station (Københavns Hovedbanegård), or
  • The Metro (M2) to Nørreport Station.

From Copenhagen Central Station or Nørreport Station you can walk to the location of the celebration on the 19th of August 2026, which is the Celebration Hall at University of Copenhagen (Vor Frue Plads 4, 1168 Copenhagen K).

If you are going directly to your hotel from the airport, the metro also stops several places at Amager, which is where the conference center, Bella Center, and several of our recommended hotels are located.

Train

If you arrive by train, you will arrive at either:

  • Copenhagen Central Station or
  • Nørreport Station

From both stations, you can easily connect to other regional or local trains depending on your destination (e.g. the Celebration Hall, your hotel or the conference center).

Buses

If you travel by long‑distance bus, you will arrive at Copenhagen Bus Terminal (Københavns Busterminal), located next to Dybbølsbro Station.
From Dybbølsbro Station, you may:

  • Walk to Copenhagen Central Station, or
  • Take any S‑train from platform 1, all of which go toward the city centre and stop at both Copenhagen Central Station and Nørreport Station.

Please note that bus connections to and from Amager and Bella Center can be complicated. We therefore recommend using the Metro instead.

Car Parking

Parking in the city centre can be difficult. We recommend parking your car at your hotel and using public transportation during your stay.

If you plan to drive, please consult the City of Copenhagen’s website for parking information

Near the University of Copenhagen, where the celebration on the first day of the conference will take place, you can find a multi‑story car park near Israels Plads. The car park is operated by Q‑Park, and you will need to download their app to use it.
