NUAS Forum 2026
Gain Insights from Colleagues and Experts in the Nordics
NUAS Forum 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of NUAS and brings together approximately 800 leaders and professionals from university administrations across the Nordic region for a 2.5‑day conference filled with insights, collaboration, and celebration. This milestone event highlights five decades of strengthening Nordic cooperation, knowledge sharing, and professional development within university administration.
With this year’s theme, University Sovereignty – Resilient Administration in a Rapidly Changing World, the conference explores how institutions can remain strong and agile in an era characterised by global shifts, political pressures, rapid technological development, and new operational demands. As the higher education landscape grows ever more complex, resilient administrative structures and practices are crucial for safeguarding institutional autonomy and enabling universities to fulfil their missions with confidence and flexibility.
Resilient institutions anticipate emerging challenges, navigate uncertainty with strategic clarity, and adapt organisational frameworks to meet evolving stakeholder needs. By fostering an organisational culture that values agility, innovation, and proactive decision‑making, universities can strengthen both operational effectiveness and long‑term sovereignty. NUAS Forum 2026 provides the space to examine these dynamics through workshops, talks, discussions, and networking opportunities that draw on the rich and diverse expertise across the Nordic region.
Over the course of the programme, participants will engage in a wide range of sessions designed to inspire new thinking, illuminate best practices, and promote meaningful dialogue about the future of university administration. The event also offers a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange experiences, and build lasting networks across Nordic institutions.
The conference opens at 15:30 on Wednesday 19 August and concludes at 15:00 on Friday 21 August.
